Dear Ascona-A and-B Friends,
this is the modest homepage of the 1st Ascona-A / B IG Germany.

Our club was founded in Oct. 1996 as the first Ascona-A IG Germany. Godparents were Harry (our treasurer) and I Brinki, 1st Chairman.

Somehow, something happened then! We just had another season behind us, where we had to find out that the Manta-A drivers not really wanted to do with their vile little sedan brother. In addition, we were the only ones anywhere, and the parts supply was already bad! "Ascona-A, What's that?? My parts catalog only starts with Asc-B?" spoke much of some spare parts dealer. And all other muddle up the Opel Ascona-A with the Kadett-B. What a mess!!!

It was high time for an IG, throughout Germany

It soon became clear: ".... that was the right decision!

In the first year almost 20! Members. And most of them are still there. Meanwhile, we are a solid base of about 50 members (including women).

Once a year is our meeting. At different, and  beautiful places, we come together from all over Germany in order to exchange our views.

This is a website primarily for the Ascona-A. Our all favorite car. Since February 2003 we have our first Member with an Ascona-B, and look forward to another owner of this vehicle line, which will then grow this website. Also, new members from the neighboring countries joined the Ig and make this thing a little global.

Furthermore, I would like to hereby thank all the members who go with me this way and are always there for each other.
